The Whitest Kids U'Know: Episode 5.01 Sketch by Sketch Review

Overall, a somewhat disappointing return. WKUK's sketches are horribly inconsistent, and this seemed to be a collection of mostly subpar ones.

Baked Beans- Visually disturbing, of course, but still funny. Worked best how they did it, breaking it into little section and inserting them throughout the episode. There were two jokes being presented simeltaneously here, and I feel like it would have worked better if they just focused on one.

Little Hitler- The first couple minutes were boring. Unoriginal and bland. I would actually have been very angry if that had turned out to be the entire skit. But the last minute or so in the classroom was worth it, as so many last second turns in WKUK skits are. "I can't tell if I hate this class...or if I love it."

Dying Soldier- This was my favorite, although I still don't think it was all that good. I enjoyed the false stops, that added something to the texture of the skit. Timmy being the over-writer was rather predictable, but there were some good fakeouts with that, with Trevor actually telling him what to write at certain points. Overall, several parts of this sketch could have been much clearer and less schizophrenic.

The Civil War on Drugs, pt.1- This intrigues me. I think since this is the final season, they need something special to end the final episode with, and a story that gets told a little bit at the end of each episode this season seems like a good way to do it, but these guys aren't the best long-term storytellers. As it stands right now, it's rather boring and has little laughs to compensate. I'm not sure this is how it should end, but I certainly hope it gets much better before the end of the season.
