This Summer...

As we reach the end of the broadcast season, I once again find myself facing the conflict of what the hell I'm going to watch this summer. In the past, this has been a great time to discover new shows I like (like The Whitest Kids U'Know last year, but seeing as that returns for its final season on Friday, I'm guessing that won't be around for very long in the summer). Sometimes, I resort to watching guilty pleasure shows, i.e. Wipeout. This summer, I know for sure Futurama will be back for 13 episodes. And AMC has blessed us with season 4 of Breaking Bad returning in July (after a year and one month break, but I won't complain, Mad Men fans have to wait half a year longer for season 5). But other than that, I'm really not sure. There's usually one surprise each summer (like Terriers and The Middleman, both very good shows, both severely missed). I guess they'll still be The Daily Show and The Soup. It is a sad time for Tv addicts, but perhaps I can use the time to finally watch Twin Peaks or catch up on Mad Men (especially with the announcement that all four seasons will be coming to Netflix Instant Streaming in July, so now I have now excuse). I'm also catching up on Justified, so maybe there's hope for summer after all.
